No more excuses for Sanft

KIRKCALDY coach Quintan Sanft believes a change in attitude is behind the team’s recent improved performances.

The Blues last two games has seen them run league favourites Howe of Fife close before a draw with another promotion contender, Hawick YM.

“Our mind-set has changed over the last few weeks,” Sanft said. “We’ve always made excuses that our training facilities aren’t good - but we can’t control that stuff.

“What we can control is what we do on the pitch, and how well we play individually, and as a team.

“We just have to help each other out and get through it.

“We’ve turned a corner - it’s unfortunate that it’s taken so long to come about.”

Sanft was disappointed his team failed to turn Saturday’s draw into a victory.

“I’m pleased that we got two points but not so pleased that we threw the win away,” the Samoan said. “We had chances to win but missed them as well.

“I’ll be looking for the boys to build on that against Lasswade this Saturday.”
