Robbie inspires match win

A LOCAL rugby union fan helped inspire Scottish side Edinburgh to a vital win at the weekend.

Robbie Dyce, who plays with the Waid Pirates team, was invited to be a mascot at the Edinburgh v Toulouse game at Murrayfield on Saturday,

The youngster, pictured here after the game with Scotland captain Ross Ford, led the teams out on to the park in front of a record 38,000 crowd.

Edinburgh went on to secure a Heineken Cup semi-final place in Dublin against Ulster with a 19-14 win over the French giants.

There was a strong Waid contingent at the game, who were all supporting Edinburgh to their famous victory.
