Fife Flyers’ newest signing, forward Ryan Dingle, will be sponsored by the Bay Hotel and Pettycur Complex, it was announced today.
It’s the latest link between the business and the club which extends back some 15 years.
The Bay Hotel, which sponsored last year’s pre-season Challenge Cup friendlies again Aalborg of Denmark, will have their company logo on the back of the team’s home and away jerseys for the 2015-16 season which gets underway at the end of August/start of September.
Allan Paul, Flyers’ commercial manager, said: : “We really appreciate the support we have had from the Bay Hotel & Pettycur Leisure Complex over the last 15 years - the last ten of which they have been major sponsors
‘‘They really get behind the Flyers. It’s exactly what the club needs – consistent, long term support from a well known local business. It is our lifeblood as we gear up for another season.”
Alan Wallace, of The Bay, said: ‘‘We are into the fourth generation now when it comes to supporting Flyers in lots of ways. We feel that not only are the games enjoyable for my whole family but that this is very much the right type of local sponsorship for us.’’
Flyers are also revamping the their match-night programme for the new season, and inviting fans to have their say on what they’d like to see in it.
They want to hear from those who buy it - and those who don’t.
They are running a competition to re-name the publication with the prize of two match tickets and the chance to be match mascot or drop the puck at a home game as well as meeting their favourite player on offer.
