At the Templeton 10 mile Race in Dundee on Sunday , Falkland Trail Runners president Tony Martin took the first over 60 prize finishing 20th overall from a field of over 250 runners.

Martin, who is due to represent Scotland at the forthcoming Masters Cross Country Internationals in Dublin, crossed the line in 67mins 30 secs.

Lyle Allan finished 67th in [77.24] followed by 71st David Dunleavey [77.58], Susanne Lumsden 95th, [82.02] amd Carole Mowbray 101st.

Club members made good use of the extended autumnal midweek events by competing at the Halloween races at Cairnie Fruit Farm.

The event was held in darkness with over 20 torch wielding marshals.

In the primary under -5 one kilometre race, Falkland Trail Runner Zoe Caldwell finished 15th in 6 mins 06 seconds. Sister Millie was 12th in the P5 and over race finishing in 5 mins 10 secs..

In the novice two mile race, four senior trail runners competed with 72 year old Peter Rieu- Clark finishing fifth overall in 16.45. John Leewas seventh in 17.48 with Karen Campbell 11th 19.22; Lorna Caldwell 14th 21.20 and Lind Barton 15th 21.20

On the same evening, the club hosted the first of the Winter 2 mile Time Trial Series’ at Falkland Estate.

Harvey Rankine set a fantastic pace to finish first in 11mins 27 secs followed bu Gary Pirie in 12.04. New recruit, Alison Sutherland finished a fine 5th in 13.15 (fiull results on FTR Facebook page.

At St Andrews parkrun six skwerlz competed in the three lap, 5 kilometre course set within Craigtoun Park.

Brian Cruickshank finished second in 18m.09s followed by Gary Pirie in fifth place in 18.45; Tony Martin 7th, (first over 60), 20.03. Mother and daughter Kaitlyn and Susanne Lumsden finished 96th and 97th with Kaitlny beating mum by two seconds to finish in 27.20.

Karen Campbell finished131st in 31.08. 181 Ran

At Kirkcaldy Parkrun, Lynne and Leonard Zabek finished 50th and 51st respectively, with Lynne beating Len by one second , recording 28.04.

Bryan Innes was the sole FTR representative in the Perth parkrun finishing in fifth place in 17m 13s.
