Top ten for girls!

Letham Girls 1 Lomond Colts Girls 10

On a cold Saturday morning with a biting wind, Lomond Colts Girls made the short trip up to Perth on Saturday to play Letham Girls.

Despite taking an early lead, Colts took their time adjusting to playing in unfamiliar positions, but eventually stretched their lead towards half-time.

As Letham began to tire in the second-half, Colts began to dominate play and used the width of the pitch to full advantage.

Strong defending from Niamh Irvine helped keep Letham at bay, with Michaela Mclaughlin, Nicole Peggie and Katie McGuiness among the scorers for Colts to help win the game and keep the Glenrothes team at the top of the Fife/Perthshire League.

BALGONIE Scotia are looking for players born in 2000 to join their squad as they make the step up to 11-a-sides in next season’s Fife Football Development League.

Training is held on Monday and Thursday evenings in King George V Park, Coaltown of Balgonie.
