Wrestlers promise to return to Leven
'El Techico'
LEVEN’S wrestling fans made such an impression on the W3L group at the weekend that it has promised to come back next year.
The American-style wrestling group tore the roof off the Regent Cinema on Sunday, as well over 100 grappling fans packed the venue out.
Fife favourite Mike Musso successfully defended his heavyweight title but it wasn’t such a good afternoon for Nikki Storm, as her two-year title reign was brought to an end by Carmel Jacobs.
Organiser Mike Musgrave told the Mail: “There was a very lively crowd.
“We will return next year and will aim to raise the capacity of the venue by putting more seats in on the floor.”
Wrestling fan and volunteer at the event, Calum Boyd, told the Mail the people of Levenmouth had turned out in force to support the wrestling event.
As well as Musso, of Kirkcaldy, on the bill, other W3L superstars included the masked El Technico (pictured).
The Leven event was the group’s last of 2012.
