MRS MOLLY CUMMING DIES AGED 101

A DEDICATED former councillor, who represented St Andrews at many levels of local government, has died at the age of 101.
Dundonian Mrs Molly Cumming served on the former St Andrews Town Council, Fife County Council and North East Fife District Council.
Born and brought up in Dundee, she was a pupil of Harris Academy and the High School of Dundee, before beginning her studies at Queen's College, Dundee, at that time, part of St Andrews University.
After graduating, she went on to become a secondary school teacher at both Lawside Academy and Harris Academy in Dundee.
Mrs Cumming moved to St Andrews following her marriage to the late Dr George Cumming, a geography lecturer, who was the first head of St Andrews University's geography department.
