A DISUSED bakery, owned by famous St Andrews bakers Fisher and Donaldson has been given a dramatic new look in honour of Scotland's patron saint.

During next week's St Andrews Festival, the building, in Crail's Lane, will be transformed into a quirky setting for a one-off exhibition, organised by St Andrews Fine Art, of Scottish traditional, impressionist, modern and contemporary paintings by both major and less well-known Scottish painters.

In a bid to send some Christmas cheer to Sri Lanka, some of the prints will be raffled to raise money for disabled children supported by local woman Rani Shepherd.

Setting up the exhibition are, back from left, Colin Rae, Sidney Sutherland and Ivor Thomson, with Jim Carruthers, front, from St Andrews Fine Art.
