Fife library users urged to use click and collect to minimise COVID threat

Library users have been urged to make full use of a click and collect service in Fife to help minimise the risk of spreading the virus.

Library branches along with museums and galleries run by ONFife remain open despite Fife’s move into Tier 3 restrictions.

But bosses have appealed to people to help by using click and collect when getting their books.

The service allows them to have a selection of books prepared for collection at the door of their local library..

Michelle Sweeney, director of creative development., said: “This makes sense now when we should all be pulling together and doing our best to limit our social contact.”

She added: “Our libraries offer a whole raft of creative and engaging activities that are now giving great support to our communities at a time when there is so little else on offer.

“For as long as COVID is with us we will be doing all we can to be there for our communities.”
