Fife Opera set to bring golden anniversary gala concert to Kirkcaldy
Fife Opera’s golden anniversary gala concert tour comes to Kirkcaldy next month.
The concert, which takes place at the Lang Toun’s Old Kirk on Tuesday, August 4, promises to be a fantastic evening of entertainment.
The performance will include soloist guests from previous years singing with the company, such as Ronald and Christopher Nairne, Jasmine Munns and Connor Smith, all of whom have made a name for themselves nationally in opera as soloists.
The exciting and accessible programme will include the famous duet from the Pearl Fishers by Bizet. In addition the chorus will perform a varied selection of popular operatic choruses such as from Verdi’s Nabucco, Pilgrims chorus Anvil chorus, Speed your journey and many more.
Those who cannot make the Kirkcaldy date may be pleased to note that a similar program is being performed in the Newtown Parish Church in George Street, Edinburgh on Sunday, August 9.
This concert will include guest star Beth Taylor and her husband Jonathon Kennedy.
Beth is Fife Opera’s new Honorary President and was a finalist in Cardiff Singer of the World 2025.
Tickets are available from 01592 596904 or Ticketsource.co.uk/fife-opera for the Kirkcaldy concert, or from the Fringe Box Office for the Edinburgh date.
