£2m investment to bring disused Glenrothes factory to life

CN Properties has bought a substantial part of the old TT Electronics factory and site in Eastfield, Glenrothes.

And, seven years after it closed, a £2m investment will see it become home to eight small units with a further 15 planned on its site.

CN Properties already has a significant number of small to medium sized business units in Glenrothes.

Mr Colin Nikolic, a partner in the business, said: ‘‘Given the demise of large manufacturing business in Glenrothes it is good that these buildings are being brought back to use and the premises providing much needed space to allow small businesses to start up and grow at reasonable costs.

‘‘Our previous experience in refurbishing and subdividing disused buildings has been very successful.

‘‘This development will mean we shall be in control of over 70 Units mainly in the Glenrothes area. We have no doubt as with the others this will be a success.

With its proximity to the A92, Eastfield Industrial Estate has flourished.

The area is now an established business park/industrial estate.

It is still home to many long established businesses such as Shadow Blinds, Millennium Gym, Fife Accounts, Robertson Fine Art, and Furnico.

There is also continuing development at the adjacent Bankhead Business Park which includes a BP Service Station, Travelodge, a restaurant and industrial/trade counters including the national brand Screwfix.
