Co-Op plans new store in Fife town

Fife Council has approved plans for a new food store in Kelty.

The Co-Op will be located on the south side of Cocklaw Street adjacent to the ex-servicemen’s Club.

A two-storey hotel which formerly occupied the site was demolished in 2009.

The new store will employ 15-20 members of staff.

Concerns Standing Stane drivers will face longer queues in the future

It was previously approved by the council in March 2019. but revised plans included the installation of an ATM, self-service package delivery lockers and a satellite dish.

This store will replace the smaller Co-op on Main Street .
