Construction firm to extend working hours at three Fife developments

Working hours at several;major housing development in Fife are to be extended.

The temporary move has been made by Persimmon Homes which is building new homes in Kirkcaldy, Guardbridge and Wormit.

It has applied for permission to extend its operations as construction sites start to re-open after the coronavirus lockdown

Persimmon wants to extend operating hours on its current phase at Kingdom Park, Kirkcaldy – a £500m development which will, ultimate, accommodate 1000 homes as well as a new school, retail and a community centre.

Phase 2A is underway which features the construction of 144 homes. The company wants to extend operating hours to run from 6:00 am to 10:00pm on Monday-Friday; 7:00am – 7:00pm on weekends and public holidays, The move would be for a temporary period.

Similar applications have been lodged for developments at Kilmany Road, Wormit, and Seggie Farm at Guardbridge.
