The event, which is run by traders’ group Totally Locally, will take place between October 10 and 24, with shops in the town offering deals on goods and services for just £5.

It follows a successful event in February, which saw even more shoppers arrive in town to take advantage of the special offers.

Despite restrictions, Burntisland High Street has already seen some new businesses start trading during lockdown, with a new artisan bakery open up.

Totally Locally Burntisland organiser Yvonne Shivas said: “February was an enormous success.

“When you think that even before social distancing that we had queues along the High Street, at Tom Courts – it was amazing.

“But this is going to be even bigger and better.

“We’ve got several new businesses coming on board, and it’ll be exciting to see what different offers will be available.

“We had an amazing new bakery open up during lockdown so that’ll add to what the High Street offers.

“Grain and Sustain have increased their stock by probably three-fold.

“There’ll be so much variety this time, everything from takeaway food to gifts.

“There really is something for everyone.”

Yvonne Added that Burntisland’s reputation for having a good contingent of locally-owned shops is a real selling point for the town.

She added: “We’ve been growing our social media presence, so we’ve got a much wider audience.

People are saying that Burntisland is going from strength to strength.

“You can park for free at the Links car park, and do all your shopping in one go, and even have a coffee before you go.”
