College degree programme helps Fife businesses boost economy

Local businesses will have an opportunity to upskill their workforce this January, with the launch of a BA Business and Enterprise degree programme at Fife College University Hub.

The BA Business and Enterprise, which is delivered through a partnership between Fife College and Edinburgh Napier University, involves assessments, workshops and independent study, with attendance one-day a month at the Fife College University Hub in Dunfermline.

Assessments are practical and applied, including reports around work roles and work-place based assignments.

Key strengths of the BA degree include developing entrepreneurial, leadership and innovation skills.

Funding from Fife Economy Partnership will enable eligible Small and Medium Sized Enterprises (SMEs) in Fife to access 50 per cent funding as part of their workforce development programme.

Pamela Stevenson, service manager, Economic Development at Fife Council said: “This programme provides an excellent opportunity for Fife businesses to develop potential among their future management team.”
