Cupar boasts top bar in town

Recognised for the impressive standard served up at a town centre pub, the team have been awarded the accolade of Best Licensed Premises at Scotland's Retail Business Awards.

Voters acknowledged the menu devised with the help of new head chef Stuart McAlpine and the overall experience at the Bonnygate bar, as exceptional.

Having won at the Fife Retail Business Awards in April, the Boudingait scooped the overall win for 2016 at the Business Awards grand final in Edinburgh recently.

The event saw over 400 finalists from across Scotland representing shortlisted businesses from Fife, Angus, Perthshire, Aberdeen, Edinburgh and Glasgow.

The management team said: “We are so proud of this achievement.

Finalists at the awards have come through the hundreds of nominees in the regional event.

All businesses who made it to the final had gone through two rounds of public voting, including two mystery shopper tests.
