A percentage of every sale will go towards golf development in Scotland, helping to nurture emerging talent.

Paul said “I’m so excited to be launching ‘Chippie’ Stout, Lager and IPA with St Andrews Brewing Co. the exclusive brewers of my products. I’ve been really impressed by the quality of the craft beers being produced by their team. I can’t wait to settle down in front of the tv with my feet up to watch the first men’s Major of the year unfold whilst enjoying a ‘Chippie’ beer or two.”

Known to one and all in golf as ‘Chippie’ because of the excellence of his work around the greens, Paul is one of a select few players to have competed in more than 620 European Tour events. Of these, his most famous was the unforgettable Open Championship triumph at Carnoustie in 1999.

Over the course of his 35-year professional career, Paul twice represented Europe in the Ryder Cup – with 13 years between his appearances in 1999 and 2012.

Off the course, Paul plays a significant roll in grassroots golf through his eponymous junior foundation and in 2020 launched the Tartan Pro Tour, providing playing opportunities for aspiring professionals.

Philip Mackey, St Andrews Brewing Company MD, added: “As the official beer of the Tartan Pro Tour we are delighted to be working with Paul on the production of the Chippie range of beers. Paul is a genuine legend in the game of golf in Scotland and globally and to have him involved in every stage of the development of these beers was fantastic. The fact that they will support the development of the next generation of golfing talent is very pleasing given that they are brewed in the heart of St Andrews.”
