Fife businesses reach awards final

A number of businesses in Fife have reached the final of the Scottish Wedding Awards 2017.

There are finalists in the Photographer of the Year category, Florist of the Year category, and Wedding Cake Designer category.

Lorelle Elizabeth Photography has been shortlisted in the Photographer of The Year category for the Central Region.

They are also in the running to take away the prize for overall winner of the Photographer of The Year category should they win the regional title.

The firm will find out if they will be crowned winners of their region at the glamorous ceremony being held in Glasgow.

Lorelle Penman said: “I am over the moon to be shortlisted for the Scottish Wedding Awards.

“It is always nice to know that your clients have taken the time to nominate you.

“I love taking photographs but the best thing about my job is when you know that the bride and groom have been happy with the service you provided.”

Other Fife businesses which also made the finals include EBM Photography, based in Cupar, shortlisted in the Wedding Photographer of the Year category; Kaylie Methven @Oof Fleurs, Auchtermuchty, shortlisted in the Florist of the Year category, and Alison Kelly @ A Bonnie Wee Cake, Falkland has shortlisted in the Wedding Cake Designer category.

Also making the finals is the Craigsanquhar Hotel, Cupar and Balbirnie House Hotel, Markinch which have both been nominated in the Wedding Venue of the Year category.

Recognising and rewarding excellence in all aspects of business practice, the awards – in their fifth year – will reward the talent and expertise of those in the industry that make the big day the best it can be.

With a public voting system, the Scottish Wedding Awards is very much a celebration of local talent.

Winners are a true reflection of quality and customer service as chosen by members of the general public.

To enter the competition, dress makers, florists, photographers, caterers, and others throughout Scotland have been nominated by devoted clients that have experienced exceptional service.

The awards which will be taking place on Monday, February 27 at the Crowne Plaza, Glasgow promise to be a glittering affair with guests attending to support the industry which makes our wedding days the best they can be.

The official charity partner for this year’s event is The Well Foundation, which raise funds for a worthwhile cause and for people will have the chance to respond with generosity to the calls of help.
