Businesses and third sector organisations have until 31 July to apply for funds up to £15,000 through the Flexible Workforce Development Fund (FWDF).

The Flexible Workforce Development Fund enables all businesses in Scotland to apply for funding for employee training. Apprentice Levy Payers (or businesses with an annual payroll of more than £3m) can apply directly to Fife College for up to £15,000 worth of training, whilst SMEs can apply for up to £5,000 of staff training.

The fund, backed by the Scottish Government, aims to help address critical skills gaps within businesses, as well as improve workplace productivity levels, helping local businesses to adapt to the impact of Covid-19 as well as supporting the move towards a Net Zero economy.

A spokesperson for the college said: “These funds are a fantastic opportunity for local businesses to help up-skill or re-skill their existing workforce, and provide a great platform to engage and motivate employees through accessing high quality training. Third sector organisations are also eligible, as are volunteer staff.”
