Fife flooring firm spreading festive kindness with Christmas appeal
A local family-run flooring business is spreading festive kindness this Christmas by offering a free room makeover to someone in need across Glenrothes, Kirkcaldy or Leven.
Paul Reid Carpets & Flooring has launched a Christmas appeal, inviting the local community to nominate an individual or family who would benefit from a fresh start in the New Year.

The chosen recipient will receive a brand-new carpet, underlay and professional fitting, completely free of charge.
The appeal is focused on supporting those who may have experienced a particularly difficult year and doing so with care, dignity and respect.
Paul Reid, owner, said: “For us, Christmas isn’t just about business, it’s about community, kindness, and helping people when they need it most.
"We know times have been tough for many, and if we can make even a small difference to someone’s home and wellbeing, then it’s absolutely worth doing.”
Members of the public are encouraged to nominate someone they feel deserves the support, whether a neighbour, family member, friend, or someone who has quietly struggled. All nominations will be handled privately, and no personal stories will be shared publicly without permission.
Nominations close on Thursday, December 18, with the winning room being fitted in January, offering the recipient a positive and practical start to the year.
To nominate someone, please email [email protected] with Christmas Appeal as the subject and remember to include details of who you are nominating and why.
The Christmas Appeal reflects the company’s commitment to giving back to the areas it serves beyond its day-to-day work.
