Fife pubs tap into beer garden boom after lockdown

Pubs around Fife have submitted paperwork to Fife Council to expand their outdoor seating areas.

The recent rise in beer garden-related applications comes as they  try to stay afloat whilst following lockdown regulations.

Bobby Grubb owner, said: “The new decking has helped tremendously with the business.

“It’s been a real investment with more people coming to have a pint or coming for a coffee and enjoying the weather whilst keeping to social distancing rules.”

“I’ve also got a roof over half the decking just in case it’s a rainy day.”

The Kinneuchar Inn in Kilconquhar which has recently launched a Greek style snack menu, is planning to expand its seating area to bring more customers in.
