Home Sweet Home estate agent launches in Fife

The 45-year-old father-of-one opened Home Sweet Home Fife on Tuesday, based at John Smith Business Park in Kirkcaldy.

Home Sweet Home Estate Agents launched in Inverness and the highlands in 2017 and has gone from strength to strength, driven by directors Ross Edwards and Alex Mackenzie.

Now, Scott, who lives in Glenrothes with wife Shona and daughter Kimberley (9), has launched the Fife branch, for buying and selling properties across the Kingdom.

Scott is excited about the new venture.

He said: “I worked for Your Move for 20 years in different roles including valuer, branch manager, area manager and area letting director.

“It has always been a passion of mine to get back to what I used to do, which was handling a client’s moving journey from start to finish.

“At times I think the client can get missed at times in the industry, but with Home Sweet Home we’re bringing back an old school estate agency that offers a personal, family feel to the house moving process.

“My good friend Ross started Home Sweet Home in Inverness with Alex and he’s always talked about me opening the Fife branch.

“We’re living through different times and I thought I’d take a chance on something I may never have done otherwise.

“Times have changed this year with Covid-19 and it’s given me the opportunity to do this.

“It’s really exciting to start something new, and it’s going to be a family business with my wife getting involved too.”

For now, Scott will be concentrating on property sales, however he intends to launch the lettings side of the business later in the year.
