A restaurant in Kirkcaldy has been shortlisted among finalists for the first ever Scottish Virtual Restaurant Awards.

Hug a Mug, based in Rosslyn Street, is nominated for both the 2020 ‘new restaurant of the year’ and ‘lockdown team of the year.’

The awards recognize the contribution the establishments have made operating during the pandemic.

Although prohibited from welcoming diners to their premises, they continued to support their communities by providing takeaways, deliveries and support for frontline NHS staff.

The winners are announced next week.
