Leslie Golf Club holding volunteer drive
The club was recently awarded £5000 from Fife Council to upgrade the house kitchen facilities.
It is hoped the planned upgrading of the kitchen facility will be completed at end of May, soon after the start of the season.

Hide AdDevelopment officer David Fraser said: “This planned opening of the Clubhouse Kitchen is looking to tempt both members and non-members to come along and have a bite to eat in a friendly, welcoming atmosphere.
“This features in the plans for regenerating the club in promoting golf to the local community and its opening up for other social and inclusive uses.
“The planned community led developments and partnership workings will assist the club diversify and break down perceived barriers surrounding many of the country’s golf clubs.
“However, in order all of this happens Leslie Golf Club needs new volunteers to assist the small band already in place and is holding a volunteer drive on Saturday.

Hide Ad“You don’t even need to like or play golf to get involved, just be able to offer a few hours each month to help this worthwhile cause and make a direct difference in our community.”
Among the skills/experience the club is looking for to assist in providing and delivering many of the already identified community activities now or in the near future are:
Course/Greens Maintenance, Men’s and Women’s Groups, Community Garden, Activity Coordinator, Social Media marketing, Admin, Hospitality/Bar Staff/Café, Cleaning, Toddlers’ Group; Tea Dances; Knitting Group, Golf tuition.
