The company said it was “delighted” to have been recognised by leading UK funeral plan provider, Golden Charter, for supporting the community with funeral planning during the year running from April 2019 – March 2020.

Commenting on the win, Alex Little, managing director, said: “I feel privileged to serve the people in the community of Levenmouth and beyond at their time of need. I am delighted to have opened a new Branch in Kennoway to look after the people of Kennoway and surrounding areas. We feel privileged to have won this prestigious award once again this year and I wish to thank the people of our community for entrusting us with their loved ones both at time of need and when pre-arranging their funeral. Thanks also to my dedicated team for their continued dedication and hard work.

“Since March, funeral directors have responded swiftly to the many hurdles caused by coronavirus in order to continue to support their communities through a very difficult time. Funeral directors have had to adapt to provide services online that include virtual appointments, livestream funerals and funeral plan sales through online channels for customers who have been more inclined to plan ahead.”

Suzanne Grahame, CEO at Golden Charter, said: “These past few months have turned a spotlight on funeral directors – key workers who have supported our communities across the country, around the clock – and we are delighted to recognise Alex Little Funeral Directors for the service it provides to the North Scotland area.”
