Plans to open to a new food business in a busy Kirkcaldy street have been given the go-ahead.

Fife Council has rubber-stamped an application for a change of use to the business at 95 St Clair Street.

It is currently a hair salon.

Applicant, Mr Rocco Gallo, Balwearie Road, plans to turn it into a takeaway for fresh hot and cold rolls, and pastries, as well as coffee and tea.

In his application, Mr Gallo said the shop was previously a cupcake bakery.
