Clare said she and Keavy have been close friends for many years and have previously worked together.

She said: “Before this shop became available I was renting a chair in a salon for a couple of days a week but then I was getting too busy and needed more room.

“I had always had an eye on this building and one day I was driving past when I saw men working inside it.

“I spoke to the and they said the owner was looking to rent the building out. I said I would take it there and then and that was it! It took Keavy and I two weeks to get it all kitted out and ready.”

“But when this building became available we just thought if we don’t do it now we will never do it!”

Clare and Keavy have also been enhancing the salon’s services by taking on make-up artist LJ Glam who will work at Revive on Saturdays and there is also a barber who works flexible hours at the salon.

Clare added: “We can’t wait to see what the future holds for us - we just want to see the business grow and so far it has been really busy which is great.”

Cllr Rosemary Liewald said: “I’m sure that Clare and Keavy will make a wonderful success at their new premises. I wish them the very best.”
