The charity’s continuing aim is to create a supportive world where people with complex needs can live meaningful lives and achieve their own ambitions.

Toys, bric-a-brac, clothes, jewellery, books and other items are wanted to fill up the shelves of the new Leven store.

The shop, which will be located at 49 High Street, will also operate a free pick-up service for large furniture items.

Manager Stuart McLeod said: “We have been patiently waiting for the restrictions to be lifted so we can open the doors and I’m delighted that we’re now nearing that stage.

"I know that the people of Leven will be generous and supportive of our work. If anyone has donations for us please start to look them out – we’ll be able to accept items when the doors open.

"All sales raise much needed income to support disabled children and adults.

“We’re also looking for volunteers, who play such an important part within the organisation.

“They help ensure the shop is tidy and attractive, they sort and replace stock and deal with customers and other retail aspects like working the till.

“Skills learned are valuable for personal development as well as very relevant to careers in retail, advertising and business.

"Volunteers also have the opportunity to meet lots of people, play an active role in the community and make friends.

"By choosing to buy from or donate to the shop people can help keep valuable products and materials in use for longer – saving money, supporting local communities, and protecting the environment in the process.”
