Visitors will soon be able to visit the Pizza Box at Balgove Larder in St Andrews and order pizza with a range of toppings that puts provenance to the fore. Toppings include salamis from the family-run Great Glen Charcuterie and local cheese from the St Andrews Farmhouse Cheese in the East Neuk of Fife as well as other great Scottish ingredients and a guest pizza of the day.

Will Docker, co-founder of Balgove Larder said: “We know that there’s a real appetite for feel-good food at the moment - particularly from those who’ve built up an appetite walking on the beach or Fife Coastal Path.

"At Balgove Larder we really focus on showcasing the best local produce in a way puts provenance and flavour first. The Pizza Box goes to the heart of that and our team of chefs has put together a simple menu that focuses on using the very best produce, sourced carefully from the best producers. We’ll be having a few trial runs in the coming weeks before we launch a wider menu and are looking forward to serving up some seriously good pizzas.”

The Pizza Box will be fully open at Balgove Larder in the coming weeks for pre-orders and walk-ins. Outdoor seating and take away will be available. It’s likely that local delivery will be available in the future.
