North East Fife’s MP Wendy Chamberlain and MSP Willie Rennie visited Swan Engineering’s site in Auchtermuchty recently.

The company, which was founded in 2010, has grown with the support of Scottish Enterprise and Business Gateway Fife. It is now a major manufacturer of food processing equipment to companies that supply retailers such as Tesco, Asda and Marks & Spencer.

The two parliamentarians were shown around the company’s facility in Auchtermuchty where it employs more than twenty-five people, including six apprentices.

Wendy Chamberlain said: “I was glad to be invited to visit Swan Engineering’s factory and to meet with some of its staff. The company’s experience in rapidly growing is a real success story and shows what can be achieved with hard work and the right support from enterprise agencies.”
