As our annual Christmas Toy Run was drawing close members of the Kingdom Of Fife Group Advanced Motorists donated money to the group. These donations allow me to buy presents for both the Children's Ward and Maternity Unit at the Victoria Hospital Kirkcaldy.

This is something that we have carried out for a few years now. Asking for donations at this time of the year is never easy but the group always step up to the plate. This year's Christmas Run we raised a fantastic £1725. To date this brings our donations to over ten thousand pounds. As a small group we are very proud of this. We look at it as putting something back into our local community.

The presents were bought and bagged, bikes were decorated and riders too. Saturday 13th arrived and we paraded for duty. We met under the Forth Bridge. Then the ride up to the Victoria Hospital Kirkcaldy. 20 bikes in total travelled through the local towns on route trying to raise awareness of who we are and what we do.

The weather held out for us and we enjoyed the inter action with the public along our route, At a stop while we were looking for a photographer who had asked us to stop we had a member of the public approach ask what was going on. He was informed of who we were and what we were doing. He then reached into his wallet and donated £30. A very generous and kind offer indeed and not what we expected. This has now been put to the Easter run fund.

At the Hospital we were met by staff and we handed over the presents. As always the staff are very appreciative of our efforts and make us feel welcome.

Afterwards it's into Starbucks for a well earned Hot Chocolate before heading home.
