This annual celebration recognises a representative selection of probationer teachers who will become eligible to teach in Scotland’s schools, with full GTCS registration, from August 2020.

Kieran Mair, who completed his probation as a primary school teacher at Methilhill Primary School, was nominated by Fife Council in recognition of his success.

Each of the probationers has been nominated by Scottish local authorities and the Scottish Council of Independent Schools, based on their exceptional hard work and dedication on the Teacher Induction Scheme (TIS) and the Flexible Route.

These probationers represent over 3000 probationer teachers who will soon become fully registered teachers, having completed the various entry to teaching schemes and reached the GTC Scotland Standard for Full Registration (SFR).

The event also provides probationers and the teachers who have supported them with the opportunity to celebrate their achievements, along with the impact the probationers have had on their pupils, schools and local communities.
