Pass Driving School has launched the new experience ‘Zoom with Us’ for pupils in the central and west Fife areas.

To combat some of the issues faced with eager pupils looking to start their lessons, the programme will provide them theory, interactive videos, support and guidance from the Pass Drive driving instructors leading the sessions delivered by Zoom technology.

The Zoom sessions will be an invaluable way for pupils to gain some essential knowledge before even stepping into a vehicle, providing them with confidence when the coast is clear to start learning.

Every day, more than 2000 youngsters turn 17 across the UK. Since Covid-19, Pass Drive estimate the number of pupils looking to undertake lessons across the UK will be in the tens of thousands.

The anticipated demand for instructors will be higher than ever when the Government give the green light here in Scotland to recommence lessons.

At present, Pass Drive said the only pupils who can undertake lessons here in Scotland are key workers.

David Watt, managing director of Pass Drive, said Pass Driving School has had to adapt its business during the coronavirus outbreak using digital technology.

David said: “We have been working hard behind the scenes to adapt to the new normal, ensuring all vehicles are prepared with the necessary PPE equipment and sanitation and we are adhering to all government guidelines in regards to when we can resume training.

“In the meantime, as we adapt to obstacles preventing pupils from starting their driving lesson experience as a direct result of Covid-19, we have put together what we believe is a fantastic programme that will offer immediate support and gear pupils ahead of getting into the car.

“This is a unique service, so we are excited as a business that we have been able to adapt and transform during this pandemic using digital technologies to reach out and support those who are enthusiastic to start learning.”
