New girls' theatre group launches Kirkcaldy workshops
and on Freeview 262 or Freely 565
The Young Quines group is open to all young women aged 14–18 in the local area – and anyone who is non-binary, trans and exploring their gender identity is also very welcome.
The free weekly sessions led by professional theatre-makers will give participants a space to tell their stories and be creative together.

Sam Hardie, Young Quines creative practitioner, says the organisation had a positive experience working in the community during the summer, and is excited to begin its latest venture.
She said: “We are so excited to have started a new weekly Young Quines group here in Kirkcaldy.
“Before the summer we had a brilliant time leading workshops with all S1 and S2 pupils at Kirkcaldy High School and also a project at the Raeburn Hall in Kirkcaldy during the summer holidays.

The group already runs Young Quines and Younger Quines, aimed at girls aged 9-13, in Levenmouth and hosted its first Kirkcaldy session this week.
Sam added: “We started this week with joy, music and laughter booming from the space and are really looking forward to welcoming more people to the group.”
Workshops run every Tuesday during term time at 6:00pm – 8:00pm at Greener Kirkcaldy in East Fergus Place.
