Christian shines in special Glenrothes visit
Musical memories were stirred recently for residents at Balfarg care home in Glenrothes with a visit from one of Scotland's most famous pop performers of the 1960s and '˜70s.
Christian – alias Chris McClure, who became quite a star on the club circuit and made numerous TV appearances, probably being best remembered for his 1978 record ‘Shine It On’ – dropped in for a special appearance, organised as a reward for the home’s manageress, Nicky Proctor, under a scheme with Vision Call, which organises residents’ eye tests.
