Confirmed Covid-19 cases at more Fife schools

NHS Fife Health Board has reported further cases of coronavirus associated with schools across the area.

A health board spokesperson said: “Additional COVID-19 cases are now being investigated at a number of schools in the NHS Fife Board area. Where there is more than one confirmed case, this does not necessarily suggest transmission within the school and may in fact relate to a sibling or household group, or it may be separate incidences of community-acquired infection."

Here are the latest cases connected with schools:

The Nursery at Pitcoudie Primary School, Glenrothes (one positive case), Calaiswood School, in Dunfermline (one positive case), East Wemyss Primary School (one positive case), Lynburn Primary School, in Dunfermline (one positive case), Levenmouth Academy (one positive case).

Anyone with any one or more of the COVID-19 symptoms should immediately self-isolate and order a test on the NHS inform website www.nhsinform.scot or by calling 0800 028 2816.
