Coronavirus in Fife: Big increase and rise in hospital cases

There has been another large increase in new covid19 cases in Fife overnight, and a rise in those being treated in hospital.

According to today’s statistics there were 69 new cases – almost double the previous day’s new cases.

2703 cases have now been detected in Fife since the start of the outbreak, up from 2634 yesterday.

The number of people currently who have tested positive in Fife hospitals is now 59, with 8 more than yesterday.

There are also 12 people in intensive care with the virus.

A total of 1,018,582 people in Scotland have been tested at least once. Of these people, 69,660 have tested positive.
