Coronavirus in Fife: Overnight surge in new cases
There has been a surge in new cases of coronavirus in Fife overnight, and an increase in the number of people in hospital with the virus.
1695 cases have been detected in Fife since the start of the outbreak, up from 1653 yesterday, according to Scottish Government data.
The number of people currently who have tested positive in Fife hospitals is less than six, increasing on yesterday’s figure which was below five.
A total of 862,993 people in Scotland have been tested. Of these people, 41,256 were positive.
