17 Fife schools and two nurseries linked to positive COVID results

The number of schools across Fife dealing with positive COVID cases has risen to 17 - and two nurseries have been added to the list.

The latest update from NHS Fife shows that the public health test and trace team has investigated additional COVID-19 cases at a number of buildings.Since Monday it has identified single positive COVID cases associated with Gallatown Nursery in Kirkcaldy, and the nursery linked to Lochgelly South Primary School.

Primary schools linked to one individual COVID case include: Carleton, Glenrothes; Culross; Fair Isle, Kirkcaldy; Foulford, Cowdenbeath; Kinglassie; Methilhill, and Torryburn, Dunfermline.

Two cases are linked to Kirkcaldy West, and three to Pathhead Primary, Kirkcaldy..

There are also additional single positive cases associated to several secondary schools.

They are Auchmuty High School, Glenrothes, Balwearie High School, Kirkcaldy; Beath High School, Cowdenbeath; Bell Baxter High School, Cupar, and Glenrothes High School..

There are two positive cases associated with Dunfermline High School, Kirkcaldy High School, and five at Viewforth High School, Kirkcaldy.
