Children at Fife nursery to self isolate as staff member tests positive

NHS Fife says there is no evidence of any transmission within the nursery at this stage and the risk to pupils and staff is low, however youngsters are being asked not to attend on Thursday.
Health bosses are asking them all to self-isolate until Monday, September 28 as a precaution, before returning to nursery on Tuesday, September 29.

Hide AdMembers of the public are reminded that anyone who develops symptoms of the virus, such as a fever; or a loss or change in taste or smell; or a new and continuous cough, should arrange testing using the UK Government Citizens’ Portal via www.nhs.uk/ask-for-a-coronavirus-test or by calling 0800 028 2816.

NHS Fife saw an increase in cases by three on Wednesday taking the total number of positive cases recorded in the Kingdom since the outbreak began to 1052.

Hide AdThe health board also confirmed those in two P7 classes at St John’s Primary School in Rosyth should self-isolate until Thursday, September 24, returning to school on Friday, September 25 after an individual tested positive for Covid-19 earlier this week.
