Coronavirus cases show steeper rise in Fife overnight

The number of positive cases in Fife has risen by 42, with 488 in Fife, up from 446 yesterday.

There are currently 124 people in hospital with the virus.

Six of those are in intensive care.

To date, 36,637 people in Scotland have been tested. Of these 7,409 were positive.

It comes after Wednesday’s news that the number of coronavirus deaths in Fife has tripled in the space of a week.

46 people are now known to have died, up from 15 last week, according to the Scottish Government figures released this week.

The figures go upto Sunday, April 12, and show that across Scotland 962 who have died have had covid19 mentioned on their death certificate.
