The British Heart Foundation has closed its network of shops.

The doors to its premises in Kirk Wynd, Kirkcaldy, have been shut – with no indication when they may re-open.

It’s the latest impact of coronavirus which has sparked wholescale cancellations and temporary closures in a bid to halt the bug spreading through the community.

A poster placed in the window outlined the extent of the charity’s actions.

It said: “Due to the coronavirus out break, we are sorry that we are currently unable to open our stores.

“This is to support volunteers and colleagues who may be may be at higher risk due to underlying health conditions, or have caring responsibilities.

“We have also suspended our collection service, and kindly ask that you d not leave any donations outside this store.”
