Coronavirus continues to spread in Fife

Fife now has now had 883 total confirmed positive tests since the start of the outbreak, an increase of one since yesterday.

Today’s figures showed that 57 people in Fife are currently in hospital with the virus, a number which has remained steady.

A total of 133,894 people in Scotland have been tested through NHS labs to date. Of these, 15,709 were positive.

A total of 192 people have now died in Fife as a result of coronavirus, according to new figures.

It means a further three people have died since last week’s update.

72 of those deaths have occurred in care homes, with 16 at home, and 104 in hospitals.

The latest death statistics cover the week between June 1 and June 7.
