Coronavirus in Scotland: 76 new cases in Fife as country records 45 new deaths across Scotland in past 24 hours


Of the new cases, 474 were confirmed in Greater Glasgow and Clyde, 231 in Lanarkshire, 76 in Ayrshire and Arran, 141 in the Lothians and 76 in Fife.
The remaining were reported from the eight other health boards across the country.

Hide AdTo date, 1, 207 people are being treated for Covid-19 in hospital, 28 fewer than yesterday, and 8 people are in intensive care, an increase of 5 more from yesterday, having recently tested positive for the virus.
A total of 77,660 in Scotland are confirmed to have had the virus since the start of the outbreak in March, according to government figures.
The country’s death toll currently stands at 3,188 under the daily measurement.
The new 1, 212 cases represents 6.1% of new tests that were carried out yesterday.

Hide AdThe Government also hope to publish the latest R number in Scotland which is expected to be ‘hovering around one’ and the First Minister says it ‘may be slightly below one’ which would suggest progress has been made in the past weeks.
