Coronavirus in Scotland: First Minister confirms East Lothian to move to tier two

She was able to confirm that East Lothian will be moving down from tier three to tier two, with the formal announcement of this to be made in parliament on Tuesday.

Hide AdThe other local authority that was expected to make this move is Midlothian, but the First Minster said that that region would be continually assessed to see whether it would make the change.
There will not be any authority that will move up a tier, and Ms Sturgeon has said that the majority would say the same.
Travel between different tiers is still not allowed apart from essential purposes that are listed on the Scottish Government website.

Hide AdThe First Minister has also said that there will be a “slight and cautious” approach to loosening restriction at Christmas time.
She added that the four nations were close to a consensus on guidance.
