Coronavirus: Sharp rise for cases in Fife

Fife has seen a sharp rise overnight in the number of new coronavirus cases.

A total of 333 cases have been detected, meaning 45 new positive tests have been carried out in the last 24 hours.

A total of 131 people with the virus are currently in hospital in the Kingdom, with 9 of those in intensive care.

Across Scotland 28,652 people have been tested. Of these, 5,275 tests were positive.

495 patients who tested positive have died.
