Fife coronavirus deaths reach 189

It means a further eight people have died since last week’s update.

69 of those deaths occurred in care homes, with 17 at home, and 103 in hospitals.

The latest death statistics cover the week between May 25 and 31.

Yesterday NHS Fife admitted that 35 new cases of the virus which appeared overnight were in fact ‘historic’ cases, which should have been recorded in May but were not registered due to “a software issue”.
