As the number of positive cases of Covid-19 continue to rise across the country, Fife recorded 14 new cases in the last 24 hours.

Today’s Scottish Government figures show the total number of positive cases recorded in the health board region since the outbreak began is now 1142.

The latest data comes after the First Minister Nicola Sturgeon revealed that a ban on visiting other people’s homes is to be imposed across Scotland from tomorrow (Wednesday).

She also confirmed that Scotland would be following England by bringing in a 10pm curfew on pubs and restaurants from Friday.

The news comes after the principal of the University of St Andrews asked students to do a voluntary lockdown at the weekend.
