There have been no new positive cases of Covid-19 recorded in Fife for three days, according to the latest figures.

Sunday’s daily data from the Scottish Government shows the total number of people who have tested positive in the Kingdom since the outbreak began remaining at 933 since Friday.

It comes as Scotland recorded 19 new positive cases on Sunday.

The number of confirmed cases in Fife has remained fairly steady in recent weeks, with just three new cases recorded since the beginning of July.

There are less than five people confirmed as having Covid-19 who are currently being treated in the region’s hospitals, while 14 patients are suspected to have the virus.

Less than five are currently in intensive care in Fife.A total of 300,858 people in Scotland have been tested to date through NHS Scotland labs and the UK Government’s testing programme. Of these, 282,499 were confirmed negative and 18,359 were positive.
