Fife sees another day with no new coronavirus cases

Fife has seen its second consecutive day with no new cases of coronavirus detected, as the number of people in hospital with the virus continues to drop.

An update on cases in Fife shows total positive cases is now 826, the same as yesterday, and Tuesday.

In Fife hospitals, there are currently 69 known cases, down from 70 yesterday.

There are less than five people currently in intensive care.

A total of 97,607 people in Scotland have been tested. Of these, 14,969 were positive.

177 people have now died from coronavirus in Fife, it was confirmed this week.

The latest figures released by the Scottish Government show that Fife 15 more people died this week.

Of the 177 deaths in Fife, 66 occurred in care homes, with 15 at home, and 96 in hospitals.
